Mas Saint Germain Wedding Photographer

Relaxed, natural wedding photography at a private countryside estate near Montpellier.

Why i love shooting Weddings at Mas Saint Germain

Mas Saint Germain is a peaceful, private wedding venue set on a large estate near Montpellier, surrounded by olive groves, woodland and open countryside. With wide views towards Pic Saint Loup and the Hortus cliffs, it’s a setting that feels both dramatic and calm, ideal for couples who want a celebration away from it all.

One of the standout features here is the sense of space and privacy. The estate stretches across more than fifty hectares, with no neighbouring buildings in sight. This makes it easy for the day to unfold naturally, without interruption, and creates a relaxed atmosphere for both couples and guests.

The infinity pool area is particularly striking, overlooking the olive groves with Pic Saint Loup in the distance. It works beautifully for group photographs and informal moments throughout the day. The woodland area nearby offers welcome shade, making it a comfortable and scenic option for outdoor ceremonies, especially in warmer months.

The Setting

Mas Saint Germain feels intentionally secluded, while still being accessible from Montpellier. The estate is surrounded by olive trees, meadows and woodland, giving the whole property a quiet, natural rhythm that sets it apart from more formal venues.
As the light begins to soften, the olive grove becomes one of the most beautiful spots on the estate.

Golden hour here is particularly special, with warm light filtering through the trees and long views across the landscape. It’s an ideal time for relaxed couple portraits that feel unforced and true to the setting.

PHOTOGRAPHING WEDDINGS AT MAS SAINT GERMAIN

As a Mas Saint Germain wedding photographer, my focus is on working with the environment rather than against it. The variety of natural spaces allows for a calm, flexible approach, where photographs happen as part of the day rather than interrupting it.

From the interiors of the house, filled with natural light, to the open land and historic details such as the small chapel on the estate, there are endless opportunities for images that feel authentic and grounded in place.

Pracital details

The house itself offers accommodation for up to twenty four guests across ten bedrooms, making it ideal for couples who want to stay on site with close family and friends. Many celebrations here feel more like a long weekend than a single event, with time to enjoy the pool, the landscape and the surrounding area.
