When everyone is finally in the same place, it is a good time to make photographs that include all of you. I photograph families visiting or living in the South of France, with natural interaction, beautifully composed group portraits and just enough direction to help everyone feel at ease.
Sessions can take place at your holiday villa, your family home or a suitable outdoor location nearby. I will help you plan the time and place around the light, the heat and the ages of the people involved.
Time together, properly photographed
Family holidays and gatherings pass quickly. One person is usually taking the pictures, which means they are missing from them, and phone photographs rarely give you one strong portrait of the whole family together.
A family session gives you both: the important combinations, including grandparents with grandchildren and siblings together, alongside quieter photographs of the way you naturally interact. The aim is not to turn your holiday into a long photo shoot. It is to create a useful, varied collection while you spend time together.
Natural photographs, with gentle direction
You do not need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands. I will arrange the full family and smaller groups clearly and efficiently, so everyone knows where to stand and no important combination is missed.
Once those photographs are in place, there is room to move, talk, play and settle into the session. I watch for expressions, gestures and relationships, giving a little direction when it improves the photograph without making it feel stiff.
The result is a balance of polished family portraits and more spontaneous images with warmth, movement and personality.

When you enquire, tell me where you are staying, your possible dates, how many people will take part and whether you are celebrating anything in particular.
I will confirm whether I am available and help you choose a sensible time and setting. On the day, I will guide the organised portraits and keep the rest of the session easy and flexible, especially when young children or older relatives are involved.

Where can the session take place?
At your holiday villa, your family home or a suitable outdoor location nearby. I will help you choose somewhere that works for the group and the available light.
What time of day is best?
That depends on the season, the location and the ages of the children. I will recommend a time that balances flattering light with heat and energy levels.
What if we feel awkward in photographs?
Most people do at first. I give clear, gentle direction for the composed portraits, then create space for more natural expressions and interaction.
Can you photograph a large family group?
Yes. I organise multi-generational groups and photograph the whole family as well as the smaller combinations that matter to you.

I am based near Pézenas in Hérault and photograph families across the surrounding areas. Travel can be discussed when you enquire.
