Real moments and polished portraits

Most of the wedding is photographed quietly as it unfolds. I do not ask people to repeat reactions or continually perform for the camera. I watch the whole room, including what happens around the edges of the obvious moments: a parent trying not to cry, friends catching one another’s eye, children finding their own entertainment and conversations that reveal the character of the day.

Portraits are more considered. I pay attention to light, posture, hands, clothing and the relationship between you and the setting. I usually work with the couple for five to fifteen minutes at a time. I will give you simple direction so the photographs feel relaxed but properly finished.
