I have photographed weddings all over the South of France, and Château de Pondres has something really special about it.
The château itself is stunning, but it is the setting that makes it magic. The gardens, the pond covered in water lilies and the courtyard filled with bougainvillea are all perfect backdrops. Everywhere you look there is a new spot that catches the light beautifully.
As the day goes on, the light softens and becomes really flattering for portraits around the pond and gardens. I often take couples for a short walk then. It is calm, relaxed and only takes ten minutes, but it always results in some of their favourite photos.
Whether your wedding is a relaxed garden celebration or something more elegant, Pondres suits both perfectly. It has that classic French feel yet stays warm, welcoming and easy.

Château de Pondres is set between Nîmes and Montpellier, surrounded by peaceful countryside and Mediterranean gardens. The château has been carefully restored, keeping all its history and charm while adding the comfort of a modern hotel. It feels elegant but never stuffy.
The grounds are beautiful and full of variety, with lawns, courtyards, old stone walls and a large pond covered in water lilies. There is plenty of space for guests to relax and for me to capture the day as it naturally unfolds.
Everything you need is in one place. Most couples choose to stay for a few days so they can celebrate properly and enjoy time with their friends and family. The château can host around a hundred guests, which keeps the atmosphere personal and relaxed from start to finish.
