Leez Priory Wedding – Beautiful summer wedding

Leez Priory Wedding.  I wanted to share this beautiful wedding with you.  I’m no stranger to Leez Priory and love photographing weddings there.  I have shot there in all weather conditions and in every season.  Every now and again you get conditions where the stars align, all the elements come into play. Terry and Faye’s day was one of those occasions.  The weather was superb! Their Leez Priory Wedding started over at the cottages with Fay’s preparations.  It was my first time shooting in the cottages.  What a difference, they are so light compared to the inside upstairs bedrooms at Leez which are often really dark.

The couple were lucky enough to have an outdoor ceremony for their Leez Priory Wedding. After which they had a champagne reception on the lawn. We took time to shoot a few group pictures and then everyone when up to the coach house for the wedding breakfast and speeches.

As often with hot summer day, the light is better later in the day.  So I waited until after the meal to shoot some of the portraits.The low sunshine at Leez Priory created some beautiful light to shoot in.  I love to shoot into the sun, it creates a beautiful soft glow.  Faye looked amazing!  We spent a short while walking through the stunning grounds at Leez to capture some lovely images.  Faye and Terry were very easy to work with – they just trusted me to get on with shooting their wedding photography.  I chose gentle direction as opposed to lots of staged pictures, I find this approach gives the most natural pictures.  I want my couples to look amazing in the images but also not to feel bossed about.  I want the process itself to feel enjoyable.  After all it’s your wedding day – every part of it should be fun!
