A Joyful Château Capitoul wedding
Valérie & Alan’s Beautiful Day
Valérie and Alan were married at Château Capitoul near Narbonne. Their Château Capitoul wedding was full of warmth and joy, shaped by close family relationships, an incredible setting and a couple who were completely at ease with one another. The day felt unforced from the start, with space to enjoy the people around them and take in where they were.
The Setting
The ceremony took place on a terrace overlooking the Pyrenees, with views stretching across to the blue of the Mediterranean, one of the things that makes a Château Capitoul wedding feel so memorable.Guests were able to relax into the moment, enjoy the view and stay present without being rushed from one part of the day to the next. After the ceremony, everyone gathered on the main terrace for champagne and canapés, taking their time and enjoying being together.
A ceremony full of feeling
One of the most meaningful moments of the day came during the ceremony, when Valérie and Alan’s story of how they met was shared. It was genuinely romantic and set the tone for everything that followed. There was a strong sense of connection between the couple and their families, with plenty of laughter and warmth throughout. It was joyful without ever feeling performative.

The pace of the day
What stood out most was how relaxed everything felt. Valérie in particular approached the day without overthinking the details, which allowed the joy to come through naturally. There was no pressure to tick boxes or force moments. Instead, their Château Capitoul wedding, full of warmth, connection and beautiful golden hour light. The session unfolded in a way that felt true to them, making it easy to photograph what was really happening.

Portraits and golden hour
Valérie and Alan cared about their photographs and made time for them, but in a very balanced way. They trusted my guidance and were happy to adjust the schedule slightly so we could make the most of the evening light. We kept portraits gentle and natural, with simple direction that allowed them to stay themselves.
The result was one of the most beautiful golden hours I’ve photographed, with images that feel both romantic and completely genuine.

The feeling of the day
From start to finish, the atmosphere was warm, open and full of joy. Guests were relaxed and ready to celebrate, and there was a real sense of ease in every part of the day. Afterwards, Alan said he couldn’t believe how much joy had been captured, which felt like a perfect reflection of what the day was really about.
