It was the coolest wedding of the year! A winter wedding wonderland! 10″ of snow had everyone in a panic and I decided after hearing the travel and weather reports it was sensible to travel up the day before Sarah & Mark’s wedding. It was nice to arrive fresh, rested and without the stress of a difficult journey.
Sarah and Mark are such a great couple; the sort of clients I love to work for – very much in love, relaxed and two people who appreciate good photography. They’d built in 15 minutes in a nearby field on the way to the reception for pictures and with the amount of snow we had I was really excited to shoot their day. I had such am amazing time with them and it’s a wedding I won’t forget in a hurry.

What a beautful colour for bridesmaids/guy’s ties - Sage Green!

I wanted to incorporate the snowy conditions with the couples wedding rings but it was quite difficult and they were too heavy and kept sinking – the last thing I wanted to do was to explain that I’d lost the rings in the snow! So I came up with a solution – turning the snow over gave me a solid base of ice on which to rest them. I think they look stunning!

Sarah and her bridesmaids all arrived in boots or trainers – pretty heals aren’t practical for icy conditions! Sarah made a quick change into those gorgeous Fillippa Scott heals before making her entrance.

The light coming through the stain glass windows in the church was amazing.

I followed in Mark’s car behind the couples vintage jag with the bestman and one of Mark’s ushers. We beeped the horn the whole way!

Sarah & Mark’s cake topper was so cool! It was fitting considering the weather.

Sarah had hung pretty tealights in glass holders along one wall for the evening.

Congratulations Mark & Sarah!
