Wedding at Domaine de NoÉ |
A Breathtaking Celebration in the Heart of Provence
There are some wedding days that just stay with you – and this one at Domaine de Noé in the Var was absolutely one of them. From the stunning Provençal views to the warmth of the families and the emotional moments I had the privilege to witness, it was a day full of beauty, joy, and celebration.
As a wedding photographer based in the South of France, I get to work at so many gorgeous venues, but Domaine de Noé really stands out. It’s perfect for UK or US couples looking for a destination wedding venue in Provence with style, space, and a relaxed, boho-luxe vibe.

The First Look & Private Vows
The day began with one of the most emotional first looks I’ve ever photographed. The couple chose to see each other before the ceremony – always a great way to ease nerves and make space for some real connection. Their reactions were raw, honest, and full of love.
Straight after, they exchanged private vows, just the two of them. I was the only one there to witness it, and it felt incredibly special to be part of such a private and moving moment. This is the kind of thing I love most about photographing weddings — capturing the emotion, the connection, the real heart of the day.

A Ceremony with a View
The ceremony took place on the venue’s upper terrace, with panoramic views stretching over the rolling hills of the Var. It was the perfect setting for this beautiful Jewish wedding – heartfelt, joyful, and rich with tradition.
After the groom broke the glass to cheers and applause, a powder firework erupted in celebration. It caught everyone by surprise and added such a joyful, unforgettable moment to the ceremony.

Jewish Traditions and Wild Dancing
Jewish weddings always bring incredible energy to the dance floor, and this one did not disappoint. The hora kicked off with everyone diving in – lifting chairs, spinning, singing, and clapping. It’s always a challenge to shoot, but with a mix of flash and ambient light I was able to freeze the action and capture the joy and madness of the moment. So much fun.

The Speeches – Laughter, Tears, and Two Settings
One of the things I loved most about this wedding at Domaine de Noé was how heartfelt the speeches were. They were delivered in two completely different parts of the day, each with its own unique energy.
First, the couple’s parents shared a few words outdoors during cocktail hour. The light was soft, the view was stunning, and the emotion was written all over their faces. It felt very intimate, just a small group gathered under the sky, surrounded by the beauty of Provence.
Later, inside the marquee, the vibe changed. Friends and siblings spoke during dinner, and the mood shifted from reflective to electric. There was laughter, a few more tears, and some proper belly-laugh moments. The tent was buzzing with warmth, glasses clinking, one of those magical scenes where you just know everyone will remember it.

These moments are the reason I love photographing a wedding at Domaine de Noé — the layers of connection, emotion, and joy that unfold as the day goes on. It’s not just about the big moments. It’s the glances, the gestures, and the way people show up for each other.

Why Choose a Photographer Who Knows the Venue
Having photographed here before, I know where the best light is at different times of day, how the space flows, and how to get those killer shots without pulling you away from the fun. My approach is always low-key and unobtrusive — I want you to feel like you’re hanging out with a friend who happens to have a camera.
Being familiar with the layout also means I can anticipate moments and help guide portraits and group shots smoothly, without taking over. Whether it’s capturing the quiet intimacy of private vows or the wild dancing that kicks off late into the night, I’ve got it covered.
And just after the speeches, the bride sabered a bottle of champagne with a sword. The cork flew through the air — and I caught it mid-flight. One of those surreal, joyful moments that makes a wedding day unforgettable.
