Long Barn Wedding
Long Barn Wedding – Abby & Darren’s amazing day – Part One
It was the first time I had shot a Long Barn wedding. I fell in love with it. The barn itself is huge and has been beautifully restored. I was really spoilt for choice when it came to locations. The views are stunning and the expansive grounds meant I had so many options. It actually reminded me of a wedding in rural France! I had so many images I wanted to share from Abby and Darrren’s Long Barn wedding, I have spilt this post into two.
The day of Abby and Darren’s Long Barn wedding started at Abby’s parent’s house. She was getting ready there along with her family. Everyone was lovely and made me feel so welcome. Abby had lots of pretty little bridesmaids that kept me entertained all day!
Abby and Darren tied the knot at St Mary’s church in Bentworth near Alton. The vicar, The Revd Benjamin Robert Glanville Flenley told the guests that if I took too many photographs, he would stop the service and evict me!! This was naturally a little disconcerting. But my Canon 5D Mark iii has a silent shutter function, so I was confident the noise would not be audible by anyone in the church. I actually had a pretty good spot and was able to get all the lovely expressions and reactions that make photographing such a special service so meaningful.
So here is part one of Abby and Darren’s long barn wedding…
