London Engagement Shoot
London Engagement Shoot – Big Ben & Westminster
Nicholas contacted me from New York a couple of weeks ago and told me of his plans to propose to his girlfriend. He wanted an London engagement shoot, something to celebrate the occasion and embrace the wonderful city that is London. We talked through the kind of thing he was looking for and the locations. I decided to give them a mix of shots that just screamed “London!” and others which focussed on beautiful florals and stunning architecture. We are blessed in this great city with an abundance of all of this.
The main thing I’m after when doing any London Engagement Shoot is the interaction between the couple. After all, it really doesn’t matter where you are if you don’t capture the love between people. For me, this is the most important thing. You can only do this if people really trust you. If they have faith enough in your ability, to let them just be themselves. I find that people often start off a little nervous and apprehensive. I like to show clients the back of my camera, they feel reassured that what I’m getting matches their expectations. I’m also a chatterbox! I talk and talk and ask questions and by the end of the shoot, I’m sad we have to say goodbye. It is a great privilege that I get to meet so many cool people from around the globe and share in a special time for them.
So onto this engagement shoot…it was so much fun! We started very early in the morning to avoid the crowds and this worked really well. Engagement photography in London is not always easy because of the vast number of people who visit the city. The early bird very much catches the worm! I hope you enjoy looking at the images I have created…
