Goodnestone Park Wedding – Piers & Charlotte’s Incredible Day
Piers and Charlotte’s Goodnestone Park Wedding was fantastic! So much fun and laughter and a joy to shoot. It was my first time at Goodnestone Park, Wow! what a superb wedding venue. The church is a few minutes walk away and a beautiful church it is too. Great light and a fabulous vicar who allowed me to shoot from the front (hurray!). The house itself dates back to 1704 and has been restored to it’s former glory. It was a stunning house to photograph. Piers and Charlotte were a delight to shoot for. Their day was full of love and laughter. Charlotte got ready at Goodnestone House and then took a stroll down to the church for the wedding in the company of her bridesmaids. Piers was waiting patiently for her. The ceremony was very touching.
Afterwards at their Goodnestone Park Wedding, the guests formed a huge line and covered the couple in a frenzy of confetti. The couple then welcomed all their guests into The Walled Garden at Goodnestone Park. Voted the best walled garden in Kent, it really was quite something! I felt spoilt. The guests were treated to a champagne reception before moving to the marquee for a fine dinner.
Here are some of my favourites from their day…
Shooting in the walled garden was so easy. Beautiful back drops everywhere!
One of my favourites things to shoot is the speeches outside – love all the expressions and being able to move around the crowd.
The beautiful Goodnestone Park House
The groom was subjected to a bestman’s speech based on the idea of him being in the dock and either found guilty or not guilty. It was genius!
It’s probably wise, when you jump from a 12 foot wall, to work out how you are going to get up again.
Loved this!
Congratulations Charlotte & Piers!!
If you are getting married at Goodnestone House – get in touch i’d love to shoot your story!
This looked like awesome fun, great documentary storytelling!
Great set of photos Kerry!
