Cliveden House Wedding Photography – Just Portraits at Cliveden House Hotel & Spa
I often shoot shorter coverage for couples that maybe don’t need photography for the full day. Gabriella & Wenzhuang had two weddings! They had a civil ceremony at Beaconsfield register office, followed by a delightful dinner at Cliveden House for their close friends and family. Then a couple of days later a chinese tea ceremony at home with a meal and party for a much larger group (this is to follow). this post concentrates on their Cliveden House Wedding Photography.
They wanted just a couple of hours coverage for their Cliveden House Wedding Photography. I shot their civil ceremony and then shot some groups and portraits at the wonderful Cliveden House. I wanted to concentrate on the portraits I shot of the two of them for this blog post. It was June and the planting at Cliveden House looked nothing short of spectacular. I wanted to create something natural and sweet of the two of them using the amazing grounds at Cliveden. The back of the house was a little out of bounds, they have been restoring the staircases and terraces and they were covered in scaffolding. Not the best backdrop for beautiful images. But we didn’t really need the back of the house. We had an abundance of amazing backdrops. The beautiful fountain at the end of the driveway is one of my favourite features.
I try not to direct my couples too much and prefer images that look more natural. Images that show an emotional connection between the two of them. But I realise my clients aren’t models and having your picture taken can be pretty nerve racking. So I’ll tell them where to put their hands and feet and how to look great in pictures. Gabriella & Wenzhuang were so easy to work with. We had so much fun on their shoot. Stay tuned to the blog to see their beautiful marquee wedding.
But for now here are my favourites from their wedding pictures at Cliveden House…
