Clare College wedding
I’ve shot lots of weddings in Cambridge and this was my first Clare College wedding. I love shooting weddings for couples with a real connection to the place they marry. Sarah and Tomasz’s Clare College Wedding had just that – they both met while attending Cambridge University. What a gorgeous place. Full of life and character. In that respect – very much like Sarah and Tomasz who were just the sweetest couple.
Tomasz’s polish background made the wedding a real meeting of cultures and it was lovely to see so many friends and family enjoying the day. We managed to dodge the July showers that day and after a beautiful ceremony at Clare College chapel, the guests retired to the splendor of the Scholars garden for drinks.
The day was so relaxed and fun – I shot their groups in double quick time and there was lots of time for chilling out with friends. They even planned some time for pictures with just the two of them and we wondered around the stunning gardens at Clare College. The flowers were amazing and I tried to incorporate them as much as possible in the shoot. Although they didn’t have a particularly sunny day, the flowers added lots of vibrancy and color to their pictures.
After dessert we even managed to shoot a few wedding pictures on the bridge near Clare College, it was packed with tourists earlier in the day but after dinner it was quiet with beautiful soft light.
All in all wedding photography at Cambridge University is always a delight but it was made particularly special by Sarah and Tomasz. I wish you guys all the very best – you make such a lovely couple.
Here are some of my favourites from their Clare College Wedding…
Congratulations Sarah and Tomasz!
