Wedding at One Whitehall Place – Karen & Jason
Wedding at One Whitehall Place
Karen and Jason live in the US but decided to come to London, Karen’s home town, to tie the knot. They chose to hold their wedding at One Whitehall Place.
A wedding at One Whitehall Place is always a pleasure. I’ve photographed lots of weddings there and I’m always impressed with the beauty of the venue. It’s large decadent rooms and location near key London landmarks, make it a must for wedding photographs and anyone wishing to get married in London.
Karen and Jason had planned their day with help from the wonderful planner Erika. Erika is an amazing planner, she works hard behind the scenes and nothing is too much trouble.
Karen and Jason decided to take time before they got married to have some portraits taken around the city.
I arrived at Karen’s hotel St Ermin’s to photograph her preparations and then a London cab picked the three of us up for a whistle stop tour around the sights of London. The weather had decided not to play ball and the wind and rain made the trip more challenging! But it did stay dry enough for us to visit lots of locations for pictures.
We managed to take pictures in the Mall which I was particularly happy with, as it’s been such a restricted area for photographs particularly in light of the Queen’s diamond Jubilee cerebrations. The Mall looked great with all the flags flying and Karen and Jason were treated to around 100 school children cheering them during their photo shoot!
The ceremony was held at One Whitehall Place, followed by a drinks reception, dinner and dancing. It was a superb day to be a part of and I wish Karen and Jason all the best for a wonderful future together.
Here are some of my favourite pictures of Karen and Jason’s wedding at One Whitehall Place…
Karen and Jason march down the Mall to the sound of “Here comes the bride” being played on the harmonica!
Instead of a guest book, the couple’s guests left messages on corks in a jar.
Congratulations Karen & Jason!
