Wedding at Hedsor House – from dusk till dawn – part 2
If you missed part one click here. Franziska and Alvaro’s wedding at Hedsor House continued well in the early hours. They had planned a full evening of dinner, dancing and more dancing! It was fab. The evening coverage started with some portraits at sunset. Regular followers of my blog will know how much I adore shooting in low light. I love the milky light you get just as the sun is setting. I used this light for some lovely portraits of the two of them.
The speeches followed and there was a lot of laughter and a few tears too. Franziska asked me earlier in the day for a shot of everyone, so we decided to shoot this from the balcony right before their cake cutting and first dance. Guy Hearn was kindly second shooting for me and did a great job of getting this requested picture from above. The day had over-run but luckily Guy agreed to stay just to get this picture – a big thanks to him! I then shot on the ground, while he continued on the balcony. It worked really well and added variety to the pictures.
The band, The White Keys were excellent. Probably the best I’ve seen in recent years. They had everyone up with great tunes such as “Get Lucky” by Daft Punk. It was refreshing to see a band with such verve and a fantastic fresh set. Fireworks at Hedsor House were next followed by another set from the band. The guests then danced Rio style well into the night.
Franziska and Alvaro left at 2am from their amazing Hedsor House wedding. And I, after shooting for 13 hours, drove back to Kent and my bed!
Here are some of my favourites from part two of their wedding at Hedsor House…
I couldn’t resit sticking around for this final shot of the very beautiful Hedsor House, under the stars.
Congratulations Franziska & Alvaro!
