It was my first visit to Kelmarsh Hall in Northamptonshire. It’s a beautiful venue with some really stunning grounds. Anna and Will had chosen wisely! Although the weathermen had promised rain, it turned out to be a lovely day, sunny with a warm breeze.
The registrar told me she wouldn’t allow any pictures during the ceremony at all, which was so disappointing. I decided that I would be letting Anna and Will down if their ceremony wasn’t documented (after all it’s what the whole day is about!) and decided to try and persuade her. I think sometimes officials need reassuring that you’re not going to make the ceremony all about the pictures and that you’ll respect the dignity of the occasion. I asked to take just the key moments and promised I wouldn’t continually snap all the way through. She told me I could shoot just the entrance and the ring exchange, so I pushed my luck and asked for the readings as well!
It was a wonderful wedding, lots of emotion and lots of joy – the stuff all beautiful weddings are made of. Anna looked amazing and Will didn’t stop smiling.
Onwards to the pictures….!!

Anna and Will’s guests sipped on peach Bellinis during their drinks reception

The bridal party looked really elegant. The girls wore Bridesmaids dresses from Blank and Will’s suit was from Reiss. Anna’s beautiful gown was a Jenny Packham.

After dinner we took a walk to the lake for a few pictures when the light was softer.

Some of the dancing was crazy! Anna and Will chose some classics for their iPod playlist.

Congratulations Anna & Will!
If you were a guest at their wedding you can register to see the pictures once the bride and groom have seen them by clicking HERE.
