It was my first time shooting at Northbrook Park for Steve & Lucie’s wedding and what a great little venue it is. The lovely, light ceremony room combined with the beautiful grounds to make taking pictures a breeze. It also helped that Lucie and Steve were a delight to be around, so relaxed and happy.
I arrived to find Lucie mid make up session and surrounded by her very helpful bridesmaids and proud parents. We laughed and chatted as I shot her preparation photographs, everyone was in high spirits and the time flew by so quickly.
The ceremony was lovely, with one of the nicest registrars I’d come across in a long time conducting the service. He had a relaxing effect and made everyone laugh – he was also great about me shooting pictures, which was excellent for me.
I loved Lucie’s autumnal colour palette, the rich oranges, reds and browns were a delight on the eye. Her favours of chocolate eggs were gorgeous in their cute little boxes. Steve is from South Africa, so the feather on the little box and colour scheme added a touch of home for him. All the table names were named after South African animals, such as Lion, Zebra and Springbok – the name of my table!
The sun smiled on us and once again and I made full use of the stunning seasonal light. No one could really believe that it was the last weekend of September the weather was so nice, perhaps Steve’s visiting family had brought the sunshine with them.
Here are some of my favourites of the day:

The girls dresses and cute fasinators went perfectly with Lucie’s colour scheme.

Steve’s little nieces had travelled from South Africa to be Lucie’s flower girls.

It must have taken Lucie ages to customise these little favour boxes, they definitely gave the tables a South African flavour along with these pretty twig hearts.

Congratulations Lucie & Steve - Enjoy The Seychelles!!!
