This weekends super stylish affair was a real treat for me, great locations to shoot in, beautiful details and above all an amazing couple to photograph. Sarah & Julian planned a gorgeous wedding from beginning to end. I arrived at the couple’s penthouse flat in Wapping to find Sarah having her make-up applied. It was such a beautiful place, floor-to-ceiling windows that let in so much light and a view to die for. I’d never get any work done if I lived there, I’d be constantly watching the world go by!
The couple’s ceremony was held at St Etheldreda’s church in London. I’ve seen pictures shot there before and always thought it was really small and dark. I was surprised to find it was one of the most stunning churches I’d seen in a while. The stained glass windows let in a subtle, dappled light and the priest was fantastic and gave me a great spot to shoot from.
After the ceremony we went off to a couple of locations in London for photographs. Sarah and Julian were a pleasure to shoot, such fun and really up for taking some cool images. Then it was on to the reception venue, the amazing Wilton’s Music Hall. It’s the world’s oldest and last surviving grand music hall. For anyone who appreciates vintage glamour, this place is a delight. Shabby chic at its absolute best! Dripping in history and atmosphere, I could shoot weddings there every week and never get bored. The glamour was of course helped by the truly brilliant Jades Flowers, they’ve always been my favourite florist and whenever I know one of my brides has booked them, I’m always very excited to see what they’ve created. They did not disappoint! The wow factor and then some.
Here is a small selection of the pictures I shot, it was very hard to pick some for the blog as I loved so many!

Sarah’s make up was done by the talented Kirsty McCall.

Something blue!

Sarah’s pretty birdcage veil was perfect and went so well with her music hall venue!

This busker played ‘Here Comes the Bride’ on his fiddle as we approached the Millennium Bridge, on the way back he called Sarah and Julian over to show them a picture of his family. He’d been married 51 years. He wished them good luck and carried on entertaining the London crowds.

Gorgeous!

Sarah and Julian practiced their dance for later…so I guess THIS was their first dance!

Congratulations Sarah & Julian – enjoy your mini moon in France!
If you were a guest at their wedding you can register to see the pictures once the bride and groom have seen them by clicking HERE.
