Everyone now and then I photograph a wedding that really takes my breath away, they may have the most amazing floral arrangements, they may have a marquee that is so beautiful you almost don’t want the guests to sit down, or the bride could be wearing the most exquisite dress.
Clare and Geoff’s wedding blew me away not because of details (but believe me when I say they were stunning!) but because of them and the way they are together. I enjoyed spending such a special day with them and they were sooooo in love, it made my job very easy. They were a truly lovely couple and made me feel so welcome (Clare even sat me next to her twin sister for the wedding breakfast!).
Wedding Photography at Orchardleigh House is always a treat for me, it’s such a great venue with so many possibilities for pictures. I photographed many weddings at Orchardleigh House over the years, the last time I was there it was December (and VERY cold!), so it was nice to be there on a gorgeous sunny day.
I arrived at Orchardleigh to find Clare getting ready with her bridesmaids.
Here are some of my favourites from the day (to be honest, it took me so long to whittle them down, there were so many I loved!)

Clare looked so amazing waiting with her Dad in the porch of the tiny chapel

Geoff’s speech was something else, I looked around the room and everyone was taking deep breaths and struggling to hold back the tears. It summed up the whole day to me. Honest, emotional and infectious.

As coffee was being served I noticed the low golden light outside and I quickly disappeared out to find a spot in the grounds that would make the most of it. Not traditionally a favoured spot for pictures the land to the side was more unkempt but all i think of was how beautiful it was. I rushed back in and asked Clare and Geoff if they wouldn’t mind stepping outside for 5 minutes. I was so happy they did. I just love the whole scene bathed in this amazing gold light.

Congratulations Clare & Geoff – enjoy Hawaii!
