Helen & Tom – Wedding Photography at Forbes House, London

Helen and Tom’s wedding was held at the gorgeous Christchuch in Belgravia,  London.  As a  wedding photographer, I love this church. The light is so great inside and it poured through the beautiful windows and back lit Helen and her father as they made their way down the aisle.  Helen’s flowers were by the amazing Wild at Heart and they adorned the pew ends as well as either side of  the doorway at the entrance to the church.  September continued to smile on us and the weather was again exceptional for the time of year.

My wedding photography coverage started as always with the bride. After arriving at the hotel where Helen’s was staying, The James Hotel and Club, London I began shooting Helen’s gorgeous shoes – stunning muted pink high heels with red soles by Christian Louboutin.  Regular followers of this blog will know of my obsession with photographing the shoes, today was no exception.  Maybe it’s because I spend the whole day in boring flat shoes (so I can run around all day long!) that I love them so.

The reception was held at the incredible Forbes House, London

Here are some of my favourites of the day (by the way, does anyone else think the gorgeous Helen is a dead ringer for Cameron Diaz?!!).

I loved Helen’s muted colour palette, it was so soft and feminine.

Helen’s father lives in the Caymen Islands in the Caribbean and Helen spent a lot of time there growing up; a place obviously dear to her heart.  Her table names were all places in the Caymen Islands, she even had a little palm tree on her menus.

The afternoon seemed to fly by so quickly and we’d barely had anytime for pictures of just Helen and Tom, so we escaped for 10 minutes and shot some really pretty pictures at dusk around the streets of London.  For the photographers out there – I bounced flash off the wall to the side of the couple to achieve this soft lighting on their faces.
