Joy and Tom tied the knot at Cambridge Cottage in Kew Gardens. Recognised as the finest gardens in the country, it was a great shame that we did not get to enjoy them as the weather was so poor. Despite the rain outside, it did not spoil everyone’s enjoyment inside! I photographed Joy’s sister at her wedding a couple of years ago and it was so lovely to see all the family again.
What struck me immediately was Joy’s attention to detail. She had obviously taken great care in making sure her colours/theme worked in harmony with the venue. The beautiful gallery in which we ate had botanical drawings of orchids adorning the walls and Joy had drawn on these for her inspired tables, flowers, stationary and even her dress. They all worked really well together.
On to the pics!

Rachel, Joy’s sister was her bridesmaid and both girls wore orchids in their hair.

I loved the table cloths and napkins!

Joy’s Mum made her dress and Rachel’s bridesmaid dress from silk found in Delhi, India (in fact she even made her own outfit!!) – It must have taken months and months of sewing but Wow it was worth it! I took this shot so we could see that fantastic train at the back.

Congratualtions!!
