Every so often I shoot a wedding where the guests are more like old friends; Laura & Richard’s wedding was definitely one of these. I shot Laura’s sister, Romy on her wedding day last year and it was great to see everyone again. Romy had a beautiful new baby Ruby who was a little treasure!
It was a cold and wet November day but that didn’t stop me having a great day of shooting at the wonderful West Stoke House. Winter weddings are all about the ambience, intimacy and candlelight!
Here are some pictures for you.

That morning Laura was fine until she saw her Dad. Overcome with emotion, she took a deep breath to compose herself. This is one of my favourites of the day.

The family dog Lolly tried to make a daring escape – alas she wasn’t quite fast enough!

Laura & Richard also booked Andy of Zeus films to shoot their video. If you’re thinking of having a film made of your wedding – Andy is one of the best around. Discreet and completely non cheesy!
He is also one of the few film guys I’ve worked with that dresses appropriately (why do some suppliers think it’s OK to wear jeans??!!!)
Well done guys!
The images were shot on a Canon EOS 1DS MK111 and the lenses I used were 50mm f/1.2L and a 24-70mm f/2.8L
