Party photographer – A midsummer party
Party photographer Essex
This week so me wearing the hat of party photographer! I usually photograph weddings but on occasion, I find myself photographing other events. This party was to celebrate a wonderful ruby wedding anniversary.
Jane and David held a fantastic summer party at their gorgeous house. I was delighted to be working with the amazing wedding planner Bernadette from Dream Occasions. I’ve worked with Bernadette for a long time. I know when ever she is involved, the event is going to be beautiful and a whole load of fun!
There was so much for me as a party photographer to shoot. The afternoon was like an old-fashioned fate. Stalls were set out around the garden with various games and events taking place. There was a coconut shy, Splat the Rat, Get the ball into the bucket and even an angry birds game. Adults and children alike had fun wondering around playing. It was also nice to see a beautiful Victorian carousel, an ice-cream trike and Punch & Judy show too.
One of the highlights of the afternoon was watching the incredible Morris dancers that came along to perform at David and Jane’s party. They were called The Morris Men of Little Egypt. The music and dancing added to the fabulous atmosphere.
The Morris Men led everyone into the tipi’s for dinner. The wonderful food was followed by a walk into the mystical wood for the children. A story-teller recounted magical tales to wide eyed little ones as they investigated the woods, dimly lit with fairy lights. Just gorgeous!!
The evening ended with dancing and music from the brilliant live band – Baregroove.
Here are some of my favourites from their day….
Congratulations Jane & David!
