Kent beach wedding – Botany Bay

Kent beach wedding – Botany Bay – Faye & Richard’s amazing day

Faye and Richard’s Kent beach wedding was finally here! After months of planning and talking and organising, the day had arrived.  There were so many personal touches that made their day unique.  The wedding day was really based around them as people and what family meant to them.  The choices of readings, hymns and locations were all reflections of their lives.  Botany Bay (one of the nicest places!) was where Faye spent her childhood summers and obviously had a lot of very happy memories for her.  So it was a natural choice for them to want this very special location to be included on their wedding day.

When I arrived at Faye’s house early in the morning the weather seemed to have other ideas about the day!  It was shocking weather, cold windy and raining.  Not the ideal conditions for a Kent beach wedding!  But the thing about rain in this country, it rarely sticks around all day.  We were really lucky that after the beautiful church ceremony in Broadstairs, Kent, the rain went away long enough for us to take the pictures Faye had dreamed about for so long.

Here’s part one of their Kent beach wedding, my favourites from the day…

Faye looks amazing here. The muted colours work beautifully.

I love the simplicity of this image. I hope Faye and Richard blow it up really big and frame it!
